The Travellers evaluate and make repairs on their new ship, the Sharptooth, while on their way to Menorb, the nearest world off the busy X-Boat routes.
The Travellers enact their plan to escape The Gash and get out of the Pixie system before the Imperial Navy can respond.
Numerous threads pull tighter and tighter as the day of the prison escape draws near.

Aboard the prison hulk known as “The Gash,” Sir Kevin has mysteriously vanished in the night. The other Travellers go about gathering information about The Gash and their fellow prisoners.
Archduke Norris has arranged for the Travellers to be arrested and sentenced to the deep space prison hulk known as The Gash. There they are to make contact with the former smuggler Lincoln Lunt, break out of the prison with him, and extract any information he has about the Brothers of Farbauti.
